Meet Ari
Hi everyone! I’m happy you’ve found your way to my little corner of the internet. Welcome to D’ara Cosmetics—my small business that stemmed from my passion to find products that my skin could handle.
From a young age, I always had skin sensitivity issues that were only exacerbated by all of the chemicals and fragrances that are added into products. I could never understand why even the products advertised as ‘made for sensitive skin’ left me feeling dry, irritated, itchy, etc (you name it and I’ve felt it!). While all my friends got to use beautiful looking and luxurious products, my body just couldn’t handle them. One thing about me: if there’s a problem, I’m going to dig into it until I find an answer, and somehow, D’ara Cosmetics was born!
I’m a Rocky Mount, NC native and Charlotte, NC transplant, proudly graduating from UNC Charlotte. You can often find me behind my booth at a small business market on the weekends when I’m not working my 9 to 5 as a certified Tech Nerd (I mean, software engineer!). In the little free time I give myself, I love binging The Office, or better yet: anything Marvel!

The D’ara Story

Inspired by her own skin sensitivities, Ari hand makes all D’ara Cosmetic products and never includes chemicals, artificial ingredients, or artificial fragrances. Every product has a story, made right in the heart of her home in Huntersville, NC with ingredients that have been thoughtfully handpicked and ethically sourced.
The D’ara Cosmetic formulas weren’t curated overnight, either. It’s taken years (yes, YEARS) and many trials and tribulations to figure out what kind of ingredients truly measure up. Ari’s pure, unrefined shea butter is sourced directly from Ghana, enriching your skin with vitamins and minerals to repair and protect. Her nourishing, fresh beeswax comes from a small Michigan bee farm. Only natural essential oils are used, making each new scent an exciting opportunity for customers to enjoy.
